Thanks again, dude. [ she said to the driver after getting Satsuki out and before she bumped the door shut with her hips. they've got a bit of distance to walk yet but Jen hardly seems winded. ]
You know, it's nice out here. Even the view from my place's got nothing on this...
Mm. [ Jen couldn't really argue that. then again, she was also more used to living in large spaces with very little in the way of stable company. except her mother, of course. ]
If they ever let you get this thing off the ground, that'll definitely attract people. They'll climb over themselves to hitch a ride. [ now it's time to clamber on up. best to focus on that more than the way Satsuki is getting cozy... ]
-Seemed like it was lights out all around. Satsuki weakly reached for the security pad near the door leading to the habitation deck, taking her a few tries to get her palm onto it for it to scan.-
Yeah, that's... a pretty weird hitch. [ she meant "glitch", yes. though Jen was staring at it even as they passed through the door, her brow furrowed. ] Meh. Technology. What can you do?
Of course. [ she doesn't stop moving, except when she has to twist to ensure she doesn't bang Satsuki's head or feet into anything. ] If it thinks you're her, though, it should listen to you when you tell it what name to use. Seems, I don't know... simple enough, to me.
Though I gotta admit. I don't think "Satsukiship" rolls off the tongue the same way. [ :P ]
-It was never closed too tightly, what with the cats wandering around and all. Satsuki nudged the light switch with her foot when they came in, the dim lamp shuddering to life and casting the room in a dull glow.-
Thanks for this, again... Knight in shining armor, this girl.
— god, you're a mess tonight. Here. [ Jen goes for the bottle, to help steady Satsuki's grip. then she sits down on the edge of the bed to make it easier to help open it up. ] You'd better not choke on that.
-But by the time Jen's attention was back on Satsuki, she was already passed out, her breathing slow and steady, snuggling into her pillow and letting out a seemingly content sigh.-
...unbelievable. [ Jen put the bottle away and just sat there for a long moment, watching Satsuki rest. has she ever seen her this peaceful before? instincts told her "no" but that seemed to conflict with the haziness of her long-term memory.
in the end it didn't really matter. all was well right now, and that's the important part.
Jen stretched her arms above her head and yawned. it was hella late, and she's honestly feeling the drain from today's high-energy activities herself. if she called another cab she'd probably just fall asleep in it and wake up groggy after a few minutes on the road.
at the same time, she couldn't exactly just curl right up with Satsuki. that would be... weird. right? not to mention there may not be enough room.
Jen looked around the room, seeing if there was a comfortable enough chair to use, or at the least, a spare pillow and a rug. ]
Heh. Figures. [ Jen will just set her phone with its alarm on the nightstand, shut the door and the lights, and make herself as cozy as possible with the floor pillow against the side of the bed. they'll both be up bright and early to hit the gym in the morning. it'll be nice to travel in the same direction instead of just meeting up, for once. Jen rested her eyes and fell asleep with that thought in mind, a lazy smile on her face.
yeah, this place was kind of big and lonely, but hopefully a little less tonight. ]

It's a big ship for it being just me, Sakura, and a pair of cats.

[ of course, if the hatch is shut tight, she'll probably need to let Satsuki down so they can open it. if not, time to nudge it open with her boot. ]
